ATTORNEY MARCUS L. MARTIN
ABOUT
Marcus L. Martin is the founder of M.L. Martin Law, LLC. He focuses on handling family law matters, including but not limited to Divorce, Prenuptial or Postnuptial Agreements, Custody, Support, Equitable Distributions, and cases of Protection from Abuse.
During his enrollment in Law School, Marcus’ first internship with The Eshelman Law Office focused on all matters related to the Family Law practice. Afterward, Marcus interned with The Office of General Counsel of Seton Hill University. His tasks and responsibilities included drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and purchasing agreements. In addition, he participated with The General Counsel in addressing and solving sensitive matters involving Higher Education.
After graduating from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Marcus worked for the prestigious law firm of Fox Rothchild, LLP. During this time, Marcus assisted the Immigration Group by handling cases involving Asylum of Immigrants, Family Based Visas, Adjustment of Status, and Employment Authorization Cards. He also prepared clients for interviews with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
After succeeding in the Bar Exam, Marcus was employed by Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellot LLC as a Contract Attorney, where he provided his services of defense to multiple Pharmaceutical Companies.
During the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, Marcus established M.L. Martin Law. In addition to managing the law firm, he dedicates a portion of his time providing his services to the Blackburn Center’s purpose of protecting and aiding abuse victims.
EDUCATION
Marcus received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2018. While in Law School, Marcus served as the President of the Hispanic Law Society. Marcus also received a CALI award (best grade) in his Family Law class.
He received his B.A. in Criminology from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2015 and served as the President of the Pre-Law Society for two terms.
